Help Stuff the Bus! Truckee’s first-ever “Stuff the Bus” event, a community-driven initiative is scheduled for Friday, August 23, and Saturday, August 24, at Truckee Elementary School. This collaborative effort, spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Truckee, Truckee Sunrise Rotary, and Sierra Community House, aims to equip Tahoe-Truckee Unified School District (TTUSD) students from Pre-K through Grade 12 with essential school supplies and hygiene products.

The generous contributions from the local community will help fill backpacks with essentials, bridging the gap for families struggling with the rising cost of living in the Tahoe-Truckee area.

How to Participate

In preparation for “Stuff the Bus,” Rotary volunteers have strategically placed collection bins throughout Truckee, Kings Beach, and Tahoe City. Residents are encouraged to drop off supplies at these convenient locations. Notably, there is a collection bin located at Dickson Realty, making it easy for community members to contribute while attending to their real estate needs.

You may drop off the supplies at one of several collection bins located across the community or on the day of the event. Cash donations are also welcome. Make a donation.

Cash donations are tax-deductible. The Truckee Rotary Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Tax ID 68-0173169
